Albiomin 20% – 50ml Human Albumin

Human Albumin Biotest is licensed for restoration and maintenance of circulatory blood volume where volume deficiency has been demonstrated and use of a colloid is appropriate.

Human Albumin Biotest is administered intravenously. It is available in two different strengths:

Human Albumin Biotest 20% (20 g human albumin in 100 ml)
Human Albumin Biotest 5% (12.5 g human albumin in 250 ml)

3 years shelf-life. Do not store above 25°C. Do not freeze. Store in original container in order to protect from light.

2. Qualitative and quantitative composition

Human albumin

Human Albumin Biotest 20% is a solution containing 200 g/l of total protein of which at least 96% is human albumin.

Each vial of 50 ml contains 10 g of human plasma protein of which at least 96% is human albumin.

Each vial of 100 ml contains 20 g of human plasma protein of which at least 96% is human albumin.

The product has a hyperoncotic effect.

Excipients with known effect:

One vial of 50 ml Human Albumin Biotest 20% contains approximately 140 mg sodium (6.1 mmol).

One vial of 100 ml Human Albumin Biotest 20% contains approximately 280 mg sodium (12.2 mmol).
